For house-hunters seeking a new home in South Yorkshire, the village of Treeton offers a great combination of rural life and urban convenience.

Although its residents are surrounded by leafy countryside they are also within easy reach of Sheffield and Rotherham.

Treeton is home to just over 3,000 people, most of whom own their own home, and the village is well served with important local services.

Treeton Church of England Primary School on Wood Lane is part of the Diocese of Sheffield Academy Trust and aspires to create an inclusive community which celebrates diversity and individuality in a Christian context.

Treeton Medical Centre on Arundel Street is open Monday to Friday and offers a range of services including GP appointments, clinics, and NHS health checks. Antenatal care, family planning, childhood vaccinations, as well as routine and travel vaccinations, are among the other services offered there.

The village also has a community centre on Pit Lane that has a capacity of 150 and hosts a range of meetings and events in the function room. There are various regular activities which bring people in the village together, such as youth groups, performing arts, fitness and indoor sports.

Treeton’s residents benefit from excellent transport links. The village is just a 10-minute drive from Junction 33 of the M1 and it’s a similar journey time to Woodhouse railway station, which has services to Lincoln, Leeds and Sheffield, calling at Meadowhall and Barnsley on the way.  The number 73 bus stops in the village and will take you to Rotherham or Sheffield and many places in between.

With Sheffield just eight miles away – and the famous Meadowhall shopping centre even closer - there is no shortage of retail, leisure and dining options to keep residents entertained.

Slightly closer to home is the Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, which has a pool, gym, studio and sports hall and is open all week.

If you love getting outdoors the area is surrounded by countryside with lakes, woodland and nature reserves.

Among them is the Woodhouse Washlands Nature Reserve, about 30 minutes away on foot. This is 130 acres of open space that takes in wet and dry grasslands and is home to an array of wildlife. The area is a haven for bird spotters too as you can see swallows, swifts and martins in the summer and ducks, goosander, and gulls in the winter.

Just five miles to the south is Rother Valley Country Park. Here, you’ll find water sports, an aqua park, cable ski, sailing, windsurfing and paddle boarding. And if you prefer your activities to be on dry land, there are plenty of mountain biking opportunities as well as lakeside walks and trails.

Elsewhere there are pathways and woodland walks. The Trans Pennine Trail runs through Treeton village, heading out towards Rotherham in one direction and Rother Valley Country Park in the other.

Philippa and the sales teams guided us through every step of the process and took the stress out of buying our brand new home. The build is very high quality and were pleasantly surprised at the handover. The attention to detail was pleasing and the house looks beautiful.

We are absolutely delighted with our new Jones Home that we moved into on the 15th September. We waited a long time for it after Beaumont Grange was first announced in 2020, but we wanted a woods facing Banbury on the second phase so it was a long wait but well worth it! We couldn't be happier with it, it's beautiful and just what we wanted. This is my second Jones Home as I moved from Arundel Park in the same village having lived there for nearly 10 years, and we've now upgraded to a bigger one together. The service again has been excellent and our sales adviser Philippa Ingram has just been absolutely amazing from start to finish. She is fantastic at her job and also the loveliest person, it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with her over the last couple of years and she made things really easy. The after care so far has been great, Alan the site manager and Dave the assistant manager are great to deal with. Everyone is really nice, friendly and on the ball. Our new house is everything we wanted and is just beautiful, I'm sure we will be very happy here for many years to come.

Have looked at Jones homes for years, finally bought my dream house in April. A few minor issues which is to be expected but the site manager is very quick to correct. I love my new home.

No pushy sales and never felt pressured to proceed. Action taken straight away when small problems were reported. Quality of our new home is much more than other builders we looked at. More space and more higher end items included as a standard e.g. big shower head on showers
