Deposit Contribution Scheme

Purchasing your first home can be challenging but at Jones Homes we want to help make it possible. That’s why from time to time we may offer a Deposit Boost Incentive on selected homes to provide financial assistance with the initial costs.

If you’ve found your perfect new home with us, we may be able to offer a helping hand by matching funds of up to 5% of the purchase price to combine with your own 5% deposit. This deposit contribution offer applies to selected properties and can increase your mortgage options by reducing the amount you need to finance. It’s beneficial to first time buyers, but as the incentive is linked to the plot and not the purchaser, it may be available to any buyer interested in an eligible property.

What is Our Deposit Contribution Scheme & How Does it Work?

Our Deposit Contribution Scheme aims to help make homeownership achievable for buyers (particularly first time buyers) who may struggle to save enough for the full deposit. We provide a boost by contributing up to 5% of the property’s purchase price to supplement your own 5% deposit savings.

For example, on a £350,000 home, we would put forward £17,500 and you would need £17,500 for the 10% total deposit. This lowers the amount that you need to borrow and can open up more competitive mortgage rates.

Our deposit contribution scheme is not a second charge or loan – it is a discount on the sale price. You only need to obtain a mortgage that covers the remaining 90% of the price, minus our 5% boost.

Step 1
Select an eligible property marked with “Deposit Boost”. You can browse our new build homes to find the perfect home for you!

Step 2
Book an appointment with one of our sales advisors if Deposit Boost is advertised on the home you are considering.

Step 4
Our friendly advisors will discuss the details. We will explain the scheme terms and conditions in full, and we may refer you to an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) for financial qualification to establish proof of deposit funds (5% of purchase price) and a Mortgage Agreement in Principle for the remaining balance.

Step 5
We will match your 5% deposit with an additional 5% contribution.

Step 6
Complete the purchasing process as normal – with the discounted price – and exchange contracts and prepare to move into your new home!

Step 7
Our contribution is finalised at completion—no repayment needed.
