Final chance to buy discounted starter home at Thorpe Hesley development

First-time buyers are being offered a final chance to secure a discounted starter home at a new development in Thorpe Hesley.

Jones Homes is building 14 starter properties at Wentworth View, off Upper Wortley Road, to help first-time buyers get a foot on the property ladder.

The housebuilder has already sold 13 of the starter homes, which are available to eligible first-time buyers for 80 per cent of their market value. Ten of these properties have been completed and the residents have moved in.

There is now just one three-bedroom semi-detached home still available with the 20 per cent discount offer attached.

To meet the criteria for the discount, first-time buyers must be aged between 23 and 40, with a gross household income of less than £80,000 a year. They can also qualify by being a member or former member of the Armed Forces who was injured in service or the partner of a member of the Armed Forces who died in service.

Jones Homes is building a total of 144 three, four and five-bedroom homes at Wentworth View. The development will feature 108 properties for private sale, 22 affordable homes for low-cost rent or shared ownership and 14 discounted starter homes.

Jones Homes has built 57 of the private homes on the site and 15 of affordable homes. So far, residents have moved into 54 of the private properties and all 15 of the affordable homes.
