All homes built on first phase of development in Wilmslow
Construction has come to an end on the first phase of an innovative housing development for active adults over 55 in Wilmslow.
Jones Homes is building a total of 73 new homes over two phases at Sanctuary Wilmslow, an exclusive gated community situated off Coppice Way, across from Handforth Dean retail park.
The developer has built all the 33 two and three-bedroom apartments and cottages it is delivering in the first phase of the development.
The housebuilder has so far sold 28 of the 29 homes released onto the market, with the other property already reserved. Of the remaining four properties, three are show homes and one is the sales office and they will be offered for sale among the final properties in phase two.
Homes within the mature-living community have exclusive access to The Clubhouse, a state-of-the-art facility at the centre of Sanctuary Wilmslow, offering residents access to a spa, gym, sauna and steam room, as well as a hair and beauty treatment space, two residents’ lounges and a function room with a kitchen for catering events.
Simon Whalley, Sales Director for Jones Homes North West, said: “There has been a great deal of interest in the innovative living concept on offer at Sanctuary Wilmslow. We have had a lot of enquiries from people looking for an accessible, secure and peaceful location in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
“We have handed the keys over to 28 new homes on the development and we can see that a brand-new community with a real sense of belonging and togetherness is already taking shape. A major draw has been The Clubhouse which has quickly become the focal point of the community where neighbours and friends get together to enjoy a gym session, get pampered, arrange days out or just meet for a chat over a cup of tea.
“The majority of the properties we have sold have been snapped up by couples downsizing and searching for a home that’s more manageable. There has also been a significant number of single people buying here, who are looking for a smaller property and a more active social life with people of a similar age.
“All of the buyers have been attracted by the chance to live in a quiet, gated community, covered by CCTV cameras, which offers peace and round-the-clock security with the assistance of the on-site management team just a call away. Many residents are also engaging the services of the management team to take care of their garden maintenance, window-cleaning, housework and laundry, leaving them more time to enjoy themselves.”
Jones Homes is to build 40 new homes, a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments and cottages, in phase two of the development.
Simon said: “We have released a selection of eight new homes for sale in the second phase. Construction is progressing well and these homes should be completed by the end of March and ready for buyers to move in.
“We fully expect that the strong demand we experienced for homes in the first phase will continue into the second phase. Purchasers here are reassured by the fact that top quality and high specification come as standard with a Jones Homes property. All homes at Sanctuary Wilmslow come ready to move into with carpets and flooring and a range of appliances, including an electric hob, a washer/dryer, a fridge/freezer and a wine cooler all included.”
There’s currently a choice of two and three-bedroom cottages available to reserve at Sanctuary Wilmslow, with prices starting at £419,950 and £469,950 respectively.
