Energy Efficient Homes
An energy-efficient Jones Home could save you thousands of pounds per year on your bills. In fact, the latest Watt a Save report from the Home Builders Federation updated in August 2024 shows that brand new homes can save their owners up to £2,207 a year compared to an older property. For new homes built to part L regulations, this figure increases to up to £2,579 a year.
The AVERAGE new build home emits 61% less carbon per year and is powered by 58% less energy, cutting bills by up to £183 a month!
Government statistics reveal that 85% of new builds have an EPC rating of B or better, while only 4% of older homes achieve this high energy efficiency grade. People who buy new are therefore saving over £400 million annually in energy costs and cutting carbon emissions by 500,000 tonnes – a win-win for wallets and the environment.
