Jones Homes Offers a Helping Hand to house-hunters in Kent

Jones Homes Southern has launched a new scheme designed to help people buy a new home by offering a variety of incentives.

The family-owned housebuilder is offering the Helping Hand initiative to customers at two developments in Kent.

The scheme provides a range of options, such as deposit contributions or support with initial mortgage repayments or fees, which can be tailored to suit an individual buyer’s needs.

The initiative is now available on new homes at Kent developments Shurland Park in Minster on Sea and Walnut Grange in Hoo St Werburgh.

Sara Stanhope, Sales and Marketing Director at Jones Homes Southern, said: “Buying a house is perhaps the single most expensive purchase people will make and often they face hurdles which they feel they can’t overcome.

“Engaging with customers and enabling them to take that first important move into the property market or move somewhere with the space they need is what we do. We appreciate that circumstances can vary from person to person, so we have designed our Helping Hand scheme to enable us to accommodate a range of permutations.

“The initiative allows us to be flexible with the incentive that we can provide to help purchasers buy their dream home.  Some buyers will appreciate a deposit contribution, others may feel that support with initial mortgage repayments or fees would be more appropriate in their case, while some purchasers may opt to use the offer to upgrade appliances and fixtures and fittings.

“The scheme is now available on a range of fabulous new-build homes at two of our developments in Kent. There is a real mix of top-quality properties and some of them are ready to move into while others can be reserved.”

At Shurland Park in Minster on Sea, where Jones Homes is building 171 new properties, there is a collection of 11 three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve. The housebuilder is offering to pay a buyer’s stamp duty up to £10,000 or make a deposit contribution up to the same amount on selected plots. Their home of the month, plot 154 The Sutton, a two-bedroom home is also currently available with a 5% deposit top up, meaning buyers can benefit from a £13,625 boost to add to their deposit contribution.

At Walnut Grange in Hoo St Werburgh, where the developer is building 65 properties, there is a choice of three and four-bedrooms houses for sale. Jones Homes will provide a deposit contribution of up to £10,000 or will pay stamp duty up to that figure on selected properties. Their home of the month, plot 51 The Shurland, a three-bedroom semi-detached home is available with a £15,000 deposit top-up available.

There are just four four-bedroom new homes remaining for sale at Jones Homes’ Westwood Park development, in Lenham. Sara said: “Some of these homes come with a garden room and all come with an on plot integral garage and driveway, which have been popular among growing families.

“The four final homes available at Westwood Park can be bought using our Agency Assist scheme. This means we will help you sell your previous home whilst you move into your new Jones Homes property. We will also pay £3,000 towards your estate agent fees. This has been very popular among residents at Westwood Park already.” The housebuilder is delivering 70 properties on a site at the edge of the village.
