Show Home room-by-room, The Banbury at Gateford Park

Jones Homes has recently unveiled a new show home at its Gateford Park development in Gateford, Worksop.

The four-bedroom Banbury show home has been designed to allow visitors to imagine themselves living in a new home here.

The Banbury is one of 12 house types being built at Gateford Park, where Jones Homes is delivering a range of four and five-bedroom home designs.

Kitchen

“A contemporary kitchen style was recommended, as the designers felt this worked best with the rest of the home. The soft light grey door fronts are simple and sleek, and the high gloss finish reflects light around the room, as do the light quartz worktops.”

Dining area

“Pink and gold accents really lend themselves to a luxurious, opulent style and provide a touch of class and elegance to any space, as reflected in this dining area. These were chosen to use throughout the house not only to create a cohesive flow from room to room, but also to showcase how luxury living can be achieved by simply using small amounts of accent colours throughout a home.”

Living room

“Cool tones evoke feelings of calm and relaxation in this living room design. We believe a living room should be a place to unwind with family and friends and be a place to calm emotions and focus thoughts. The cool dusty blue for the main paint colour is paired with a warm/cool-toned feature wallpaper to balance the space and provide a subtle impact upon entry to the room.

“To keep a cohesive luxurious feel throughout the home, gold accents and neutral soft furnishings ensure the space was aspirational. The cushions on the sofa pick out the colours of the wallpaper and provide the cool side of the room with an injection of warmth.”

Master bedroom

“The master bedroom needed to exude luxury and glamour, whilst remaining easily replicable by buyers. The neutral/gold/pink colour palette appealed, as gold accents work excellently to provide an opulent touch. You can see how subtly they are used in the light fitting, wallpaper, chest handles, light shades, and wardrobe doors. The pink and neutral tones make the room feel warm and relaxing, and work well in a glamorous scheme.

“The bespoke fluted headboard is tall enough to make a real impact. This was paired with two large chests of drawers for bedsides, which shows how large the room really is and gives it a truly grand identity.”

Twin room

“This bedroom was designed for twins who are around the age of five to eight years. We wanted to create something memorable and fun, whilst remaining a lovely space to rest after a long day at school. To achieve this, the designers chose a unique dog-themed hot air balloon wallpaper, which was a starting point for the colour palette in the room. Using fluted upholstered headboards to reflect clouds, and soft patterned cushions, the twin beds give a soft warm welcoming feel to the space.

“To utilise the wall space, a large bespoke chalkboard displays creative doodles, leaving a lasting impression on little visitors!”

Guest bedroom

“The guest bedroom reflects more of a versatile palette, bringing in blues and dark brass tones in the finishing touches. A guest bedroom should appeal to many, as no two guests are the same.”

Teenager’s bedroom

“Our inspiration behind this bedroom was a young teenager who is fascinated with science and loves learning all things physics at school. The starting point was to select a wallpaper that really reflected the kind of sketches they may do in their notebook, and we feel the chosen design works perfectly. Floating bedsides and cordless wall lamps give the room a modern feel, alongside an upholstered headboard for comfort, which is always key.”
