Sales surge at Simpson Park: the former Harworth Colliery
There has been a surge of interest in the new homes taking shape on the former Harworth Colliery site.
In the past year, Jones Homes has seen increasing levels of interest at Simpson Park, with sales far exceeding expectations during the pandemic.
The housebuilder has sold almost 90% of homes at the site, off Scrooby Road, double the number anticipated at the start of the last financial year.
Simpson Park is Jones Homes’ second development in Harworth. In 2018 the housebuilder completed work on 118 new homes at Woodland Grange and started construction at Simpson Park, which will see 71 new homes brought to Harworth by this autumn.
Jayne Swift, Sales and Marketing Director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, said: “Following on from the success of Woodland Grange, Simpson Park has seen consistently high levels of interest over the past year, despite the impact of the pandemic.
“Only nine homes remain at our Simpson Park development, and we have now released our two show homes for sale. I would encourage anyone interested in finding out more to contact our on-site sales team soon to book a one-to-one appointment.”
Harworth Group plc, a leading regenerator of land and property for development and investment, which is leading the award-winning regeneration of the former colliery site, supported by Jones Homes and Kier Living, is planning to invest £5 million in Simpson Park over the next two years.
With the support of an infrastructure loan from Homes England, this investment into ground remediation and key hard and soft infrastructure will enable the accelerated delivery of up to 600 new homes in the next five years at Simpson Park.
The three-bedroom Baycliffe show home and a selection of four-bedroom properties, including the Bayswater show home, are currently available to purchase at Jones Homes’ Simpson Park, with prices from £249,995. For more information, call 01302 746760 or contact the team at Simpson Park.
